The greater the load current, the greater the current flowing through the internal resistance R, and the higher the voltage at both ends of R, so as to reduce the voltage applied at both ends of the load RL. If the voltage drop on the internal resistance is too large, RL will even be unable to obtain the rated working voltage and cannot work normally. Therefore, the smaller the internal resistance of the chassis energy storage battery system. When driving a heavy load, there will be no significant pressure drop on the internal resistance.

What are the effects of temperature on chassis energy storage battery system?

The positive plate is PbO2 and the negative plate of chassis energy storage battery system is Pb. The conductivity and physical properties of these two substances change very little with temperature. Therefore, the temperature effect of the discharge performance of chassis energy storage battery system is caused by sulfuric acid. Because only its activation performance is related to temperature.  

When the temperature of sulfuric acid electrolyte is high, the capacity output is more. When the temperature is low, the capacity output is less. The solubility of lead sulfate in sulfuric acid electrolyte will also decrease when the temperature decreases, which will inevitably saturate the lead ions around the electrode plate and force the formed lead sulfate crystal to be dense. It hinders the full contact between active substances and sulfuric acid electrolyte. Thus, the output capacity of chassis energy storage battery system is reduced.

When the battery is discharged, if the sulfuric acid electrolyte temperature is high, it will reduce the supersaturation of PbSO4 on the surface of the electrode plate in the sulfuric acid electrolyte. It is conducive to the formation of loose lead sulfate crystals, producing a thick and solid PbO2 layer during charging so as to prolong the service life of the active substances of the electrode plate. If the temperature of electrolyte is too high during charging, the diffusion of electrolyte will be accelerated and the corrosion of electrode grid will be intensified, which will shorten the service life of chassis energy storage battery system.
